Welcome to our 6th Annual Summer Tai Chi in Pendle Parks.

The launch is on 2nd August and begins at 1pm with the official opening. The tai chi session starts at 1.30pm. Join David & Helena from Lighthouse Tai Chi® for a free follow along session - do as much or as little as you wish. No previous experience required.

Lunches and Afternoon Teas must be pre booked with the cafe. There will be another event here on 16th August and there are 2 sessions at Victoria Park on 9th and 23rd August at 1.30pm.

Participation is at your own risk. All ages and abilities are welcome, and it is completely free. Under 15s must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Please remember sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses.

We are sponsored by Pendle Borough Council Parks Dept. The Marsden Building Society, Pendle Leisure Trust, Questant Camargue Ltd.

Official photography is by permit only. Trained first aiders will be in attendance. Free parking is available.

Shibashi  Day

A day of gently paced workshops & friendship in Tai Chi, looking at the three Shibashi sets as taught by Lighthouse Tai Chi®.

Shibashi Taiji Qigong was created in 1982 in Shanghai, China by Tai Chi Master He Weiqi and Qigong Master and healer Lin Hou Sheng.

Shibashi  1 - combines elements from Yang style tai chi forms and traditional breathing and movement exercises from Qigong sequences. Shibashi was designed to strengthen the back and improve the general health and wellbeing of the practitioner.

Shibashi  2 - explores Vital Energy - strengthening the leg meridians and improving endurance for standing postures, while enhancing vital energy and wellbeing

Shibashi  3 - refines the Circulation of Qi  - developing awareness of the Circulations of Qi and enhancing the flow of Qi through the Micro-cosmic Orbit.

Dao Yin Bao Jian Gong – Daoyin for Health & Wellbeing

is ideal for Winter practise.

It is a simple qigong sequence based on Traditional Chinese Medicine and purposefully designed to boost the immune system and strengthen the internal organs.

This foundation level workshop will introduce you to the form and its purpose and is suitable for beginner to advanced level. You do not need previous experience to participate and gain the benefits of this qigong.
